SAN DIEGO – Association and event marketing agency mdg has promoted Jennifer Johnson to vice president, association marketing, and Caitlin Fox to vice president, event marketing.

“The move is part of an ongoing strategy to further strengthen the agency’s primary business units,” says mdg principal Vincent Polito. “By elevating these industry experts into executive leadership, we’re ensuring they have the authority, autonomy and accountability for the continued success of the agency’s core divisions.”

With 25 years of experience as an association-marketing professional, Johnson leads mdg’s Reston, Va. office. She serves as director of strategy for the National Association of Secondary School Principals, which also administers the National Honor Society. Holding a Master of Marketing degree from Johns Hopkins University, Johnson earned her Certified Association Executive designation and is a volunteer on ASAE’s marketing section council. Known for her success in the execution of campaigns that acquire, engage and retain members and customers, Johnson’s strengths include branding, print and digital communications, as well as component and volunteer relations.  Prior to joining mdg, Johnson held senior marketing positions at the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the Council on Social Work Education, and the International and American Associations for Dental Research.

Before joining mdg, Fox earned a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Fairfield University and developed her event industry knowledge at 1105 Media and Access Intelligence. In her current role, she consults directly for and leads teams serving event clients in myriad industries, from food and beverage to technology to energy and more. Committed to the collective success of the events industry, Fox is an active member of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events, a regular participant of Exhibitions Day on Capitol Hill, and is a Krakoff Leadership Institute alumna.

“In addition to helping their clients achieve numerous successes over the past few years, both of these talented women have built and developed teams that have transformed the very nature of the agency,” says Kimberly Hardcastle-Geddes, mdg president. “Their departments are staffed by marketing strategists and creative professionals, as well as by specialists with advanced skills in digital marketing, social media, UI/UX, research, public relations, database development and more. We are excited not only about what they’ve done, but what they will continue to do for the agency and its clients.”
