The 2013 event offered over 30 engaging sessions around the theme “Teach. Inspire. Hire.” along with keynote appearances from leading advocates in the STEM community including Seth D. Harris, Acting U.S. Secretary of Labor; Mayim Bialik, Ph.D., “The Big Bang Theory” actress and Texas Instruments brand ambassador; Leland Melvin, Associate Administrator for Education, NASA; Eric Spiegel, President and CEO, Siemens; and Mallory Hytes Hagan, Miss America 2013. In addition to the stellar conference program, the 2013 event doubled the number of exhibitors in an all-improved exhibit hall. “This year’s conference exceeded our expectations,” says Brian Kelly, Editor and Chief Content Officer of U.S. News & World Report. “The overwhelming response from participants and the impact we had on STEM made this year truly successful.”
