SAN DIEGO, CA (September 2, 2008) — Marketing Design Group (MDG) was selected by the International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) committee to market its triennial event in the wholesale baking industry. IBIE 2010 will take place September 26-29, 2010 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The IBIE show committee first put out an RFP in 2005 looking for an experienced marketing and advertising agency to assist in accomplishing its new and aggressive goals: 1. attracting all related segments of the grain-based food industry to the event; 2. appealing to vertical buying teams; and 3. increasing international attendance. “MDG won IBIE’s RFP”, said Denise Paccione, president of MDG, “and made significant progress towards these goals for IBIE 2007. Because of the progress achieved in 2007, and their innovative plans to build upon this success, MDG was the clear and easy choice for the IBIE Committee as their marketing partner for 2010.”
The following is an excerpt from the IBIE Show Daily, Sunday October 7, 2007:
Rich Hoskins, III, IBIE Committee vice-chairman, Colborne Corp., commented on the increased breadth of the show. “It is every bit as good or more than the past, and much of that is because of the concentrated and innovative marketing campaign through our marketing partner, Marketing Design Group (MDG).”
“MDG was originally selected not only because it is the leading agency in the country specializing in tradeshow promotions, but also because of its success in: 1. marketing tradeshows in consolidating industries; 2. increasing international attendance; and 3. maintaining exhibitor and attendee participation at events moving from Las Vegas to Orlando,” stated Kimberly Hardcastle-Geddes, MDG’s vice president and chief strategist for the IBIE campaign. “The IBIE Committee was also impressed by MDG’s expertise in creating targeted marketing plans that attract new market segments to established events.”
