Washington, D.C. — mdg, A Freeman Company has announced the next slate of sessions for Leading Through Disruption: An Executive Roundtable Series. Sponsored by Freeman, this monthly peer-to-peer exchange for senior-level executives focuses on future-scaping and change management. Originally created to provide insights and connections needed to thrive in the wake of the pandemic, the emphasis is now on the return of in-person events and the future role of digital events. Each month, mdg invites a thought leader to give a 20-minute presentation in his or her specialty area. Topics include case studies of successful events (physical, hybrid and digital), innovative methods for keeping audiences engaged, aligning organizational objectives with technology/vendor solutions, using data effectively to inform decision-making, etc. The information-rich presentations are followed by 40 minutes of breakout discussions that happen in small (15 or fewer people) peer groups.
The slate of sessions for Q4 2021 includes:
- Planning a Return-to-Office Strategy
October 6 | 2:00 pm Eastern
As the Delta variant runs its course, more of the population gets vaccinated, and Zoom fatigue turns to Zoom exhaustion, many leaders are busy planning their return-to-work policies for January 2022. Others, however, are not – citing financial savings, the newfound ability to attract talent without geographic constraints, and the overall success of working from home over the past year and a half. Hear varying perspectives on the issue, get practical advice for whatever pathway you choose, and discuss the pros and cons relative to your unique situation with your peers. - Fall Show Review
November 10 | 2:00 pm Eastern
Hear producers from multiple industries discuss their recently staged live events in a series of short, content-rich case studies. They’ll share what’s changed/stayed the same since the start of the pandemic, what worked (or didn’t) in attendee marketing, exhibitor sentiment, advice for organizers with winter/spring shows and more. - Translating Audience Research Into Actionable Insights, Part III
December 1 | 2:00 pm Eastern
As the year comes to a close, it’s important to reflect on the lessons learned from operating in an environment of high uncertainty and constant change. Parul Shah, Freeman’s VP of Data Insights, will help us to do just that while also sharing the data, trends and insights that should help inform the future. She will be presenting the latest wave of Freeman research that will illuminate the outlook for in-person (and digital) events in 2022 and beyond.
Current participants will automatically be re-registered for the series continuation. Senior-level executives from organizations that own and/or produce events who are interested in joining should email Sveta Pyntikova at sveta.pyntikova@mdg.agency before October 6 to request an invitation. Breakout discussion groups are determined in advance and limited in size to maintain an online environment conducive for idea sharing and networking.
