Washington, D.C. — mdg, A Freeman Company has promoted Erin Lee and Shauna Peters to the executive leadership team, serving alongside Kimberly Hardcastle, Vincent Polito and Jacquelyn Wells. Lee and Peters have taken distinct paths to becoming vice presidents and members of agency leadership, but the two women share similar competencies in strategic planning, data-driven marketing and team development — as well as a demonstrated dedication to advancing mdg and the clients it represents.
“The move is part of an ongoing initiative to further strengthen the leadership infrastructure of an agency that is evolving significantly to meet changing client needs,” says mdg president Kimberly Hardcastle-Geddes. “By elevating these two event and association marketing professionals into executive leadership, we’re ensuring they have the authority, autonomy and accountability for the continued success of the organization.”
As the head of the digital, data and web department, Lee helps clients maximize the value of data and marketing technology. Lee collaborates with Freeman’s SVP of Data Solutions, Ken Holsinger, and a team of strategists to develop innovative marketing solutions designed to drive awareness, activation and conversions. Before joining mdg, Lee led marketing teams and spearheaded omnichannel campaigns for organizations in the biotech, transportation, food, manufacturing and healthcare fields.
With a reputation as a strategic problem-solver and ardent project manager, Peters was hired as a member of the account services team in 2014. As the key developer of mdg’s persona and buyer journey mapping process, she and her team take an audience-centric approach to growing event participation, association membership and member engagement in myriad industries, including education, health care, manufacturing, technology and more. She is a frequent speaker and contributor for industry events and publications, a member of IAEE’s Women’s Leadership Task Force and a proud alumna of the University of Virginia.
