Two Long-Time mdg Team Members Step Up as the Agency Grows
mdg is growing, and its leadership is growing with it. The agency has promoted Shauna Peters to senior vice president, operations and strategy, and Tyler Day to vice president of growth — two long-time team members who know the work, the clients and the industry from the inside. Together, they’ll drive the strategy and execution that carries mdg forward.
“Shauna has spent 12 years learning this agency and its clients from the inside, and she has earned the trust to guide where we go next,” says mdg President Caitlin Fox. “Growth only holds if the agency underneath it is built to carry it, and she is making sure how we operate keeps pace with where we’re going.”
Tyler has spent seven years learning what our clients need to move their events and associations forward, and putting him in this role reflects how seriously we take growth in this industry. I’m glad to have both of them leading.”
Shauna Peters
As SVP, operations and strategy, Peters is moving the agency toward smarter, more automated ways of working, so teams spend less time on manual handoffs and more time on the work clients hire mdg to do. She will stay hands-on with client accounts and workshops, bringing mdg’s strategy, events and association expertise directly to the table.
Peters became a vice president and member of agency leadership in 2021, after seven years on the account services team. She is the key developer of mdg’s persona and buyer journey mapping process, and remains directly involved with clients. She is a frequent speaker and contributor at industry events and publications, and a proud alumna of the University of Virginia.
Tyler Day
Day’s promotion reflects mdg’s continued commitment to growth across events and associations. In his role as VP of growth, he will lead the agency’s efforts to expand its reach, introducing more organizations to mdg’s capabilities and ensuring its solutions continue to meet the evolving needs of event and association professionals.
Day brings to the role nearly seven years of experience on mdg’s account team, where he developed a deep understanding of the agency’s work, the way events and associations operate, and the solutions that deliver meaningful results for them. As a marketing and creative strategist with experience in nonprofit, corporate and agency environments, Day leads ideas from strategy to concept to execution.
